The process is divided into six phases: Discovery, Design, Web Development, Content Migration & Testing, Launch, and Post-Launch. Each phase builds on the last to ensure the project runs smoothly, from gathering goals and design approvals to coding, testing, and final deployment.
Discovery sets the foundation for everything that follows. During Discovery, clients share their goals, target audience, and must-have features. This clarity minimizes revisions later and helps create a website that’s both Uniquely Creative & Simply Efficient.
Collaboration is key. Clients review mockups and provide feedback, while design and development happen side-by-side to save time. Once designs are approved, Frances builds custom features, integrates them into the theme, and keeps clients updated with a live development link for transparency.
The content and visuals are added, SEO and usability testing begin, and then the site is launched. Clients receive a “Basic How-To” guide and training on how to manage their site. Post-launch, Frances provides two weeks of complimentary maintenance to fix any missed bugs before transitioning into a monthly support plan if needed.
Structure saves time, reduces stress, and improves quality. Every project, like every business, is unique, but a consistent process ensures nothing gets missed. Continuous refinement keeps the workflow efficient and results in websites that are both functional and beautiful.
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” – Anthony Robbins
Every business has processes that constantly get refined for every project undertaken.
Why? Because every business is different in terms of how people are managed, what daily activities occur, how services are offered, what kind of filing systems are used and how to attract more customers.
With every reiteration of each step in the process, the ones that create an efficient and positive flow of progress are kept while the “time wasters” are reduced.
Websites can help lessen these “time wasters” further by automating the tasks that should be done quickly as possible because they rarely change.
This leaves room to focus more on the creative side of your business and doing what you love to do.
Besides attracting new customers, website management should be stress-free and help improve the quality of your products and services.
To have a productive environment during development, below is the general process that I follow to minimize the clutter in understanding your business and build a Uniquely Creative & Simply Efficient website.
